The Open Incubator Model: The Case of Côte d’Ivoire
Abstract
The main purpose of my research is to develop a model able to both encourage the creation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and accelerate regional economic and industrial development in developing countries. International experience is mainly based on the implementation of three models the Industrial District, Porters Cluster and the Incubator models. Based on the main advantages of each model, I propose an intermediary model, the Open Incubator, that is capable of efficiently generating in developing countries, regionally-based economic and industrial development driven by SMEs.
