Abstract
African Literature in Defence of History by Herbert Ekwe-Ekwe is an elaborate interdisciplinary study and a critical appraisal of African history illustrated and validated by Chinua Achebe’s African-centered literary contributions to African literature, history and politics. His book is divided into five parts. Each chapter’s title reflects the cyclical nature of African history.
