Daughters of the Earth
Abstract
We are in the late 1700’s in the Buganda Kingdom in Africa. Very loud drumming and singing introduces us to the scene. A KABAKA in his mid fifties is sitting at his throne with an arrogant looking Omukyala in her forties. She is looking down her nose at everyone. There is something menacing about her. On the other side is the NNAALINYA, an elegant-looking woman in her forties with a calm demeanour.
