Five for Five Interview with Patricia Jabbeh Wesley

Abstract

Our voice as writers defines our work and how people will understand us and evaluate us as writers; therefore, I am happy that what I am as an African, as a Liberian, Grebo woman writer is a result of not just my personality, but also because of the powerful traditions that nurtured me. When I write, I do not have to struggle to give voice to that tradition because my formative years gave me all of the voice I need to write, a voice that allows me to utilize my West African, and yea, African motifs in my writing.
