Hurricane Katrina and the Structural Politics of Race in America

Azuka Nzegwu

Abstract

Azuka Nzegwu filmicly analyzes the formidable impact of gale force winds and raging tidal surges on areas of human habitation. Dispensing with textual argumentation, she pieces together text, images, audio and video sound clips into a complex filmic quilt that interrogates the racial myth of America's "We the People."
