Abstract
Doctor-Aiyk’s (Aiyk Nna-Ebue) debut single, “Life na Jeje” was released in January 2006. The album received a lot of airplays and topped radio and television charts nationwide.

Battle of identity in the island of modernity
As alien cultures invade us and modernity threatens
Since change is inevitable and culture dynamic
We must find a way to strike a balance
And not loose out completely

The original and the borrowed
